A.J. Pierzynski Returns to Busy White Sox

The White Sox appear inclined to get all of their Christmas shopping done early, as they have reportedly agreed to bring back catcher A.J. Pierzynski.

The two-year deal, expected to be worth $8 million, was first reported by FOXSports.com. Earlier Thursday, the White Sox reached agreement on a four-year deal with free agent Adam Dunn that will become official after he takes a physical Friday.

But Kenny Williams saved some money for a guy who has been entrenched at U.S. Cellular Field since 2005. The starting catcher for the White Sox since then, Pierzynski is a guy other teams love to hate for his particular brand of gamesmanship, but they obviously like having him around on the South Side.
