September has been a month that the
Chicago White Sox would very much like to forget. They entered the month four games behind the
Minnesota Twins but have done nothing but free fall over the last week, losing eight in a row and having to watch the
Twins douse themselves in champagne on Tuesday night. So now that the season is over -- they do have an outside shot at the AL wild card provided they win every game for the rest of the season and the
Rays lose theirs -- the franchise is beginning to look toward 2011.
And it's not just the 2011 roster that is in question; there are plenty of questions about the front office and manager as well. The feud between
Kenny Williams and
Ozzie Guillen has been a season-long story in Chicago, and amidst reports and speculation that Guillen has his eye on the
Florida Marlins job next season, Guillen says he wants to remain in Chicago.
Though he wouldn't mind hearing the
White Sox say they want him back too.
