Simon is likely to face involuntary manslaughter charges in the Dominican for a shooting early New Year's Day which killed Almonte and also resulted in the wounding of Almonte's 17-year-old half-brother, Starlin Castillo Hernandez, in the coastal town of Luperon, and he could face up to two years in prison if convicted.
"There are a few witnesses that will come forward that we have spoken to and that the attorneys have spoken to that will testify -- if it comes to that -- that under no circumstances whatsoever could Alfredo have fired the fatal shot," Isaac told the Sun.
