Steve Phillips: Sandy Alderson Faces Challenges as Mets' New GM

It looks as if the Mets have their new general manager, and it's Sandy Alderson. The 62-year-old longtime baseball executive was considered the frontrunner, and now it appears the job is his. With plenty of things to fix in Queens and a non-traditional ownership situation, Alderson will certainly have his hands full.
