Mark Prior Choosing Between Offers From Yankees, Rangers

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Mark Prior will attempt to return to the major leagues in 2011, and he will do it with either the Texas Rangers or New York Yankees.

Prior, who has battled a myriad of arm injuries and has not appeared in the big leagues since 2006, is choosing between offers from the Rangers and Yankees, said a source. Both offers are minor-league deals.

The right-hander, who rose to prominence with the Chicago Cubs in 2003, has ties to both organizations. Prior signed a minor-league deal with Texas this September, but he and New York go much further back.
