Jim Thome Would Like to Play in 2011

After 20 major league seasons, Jim Thome is still searching for his first championship. Will he give it another shot in 2011?

Based on his comments after the Twins were eliminated from the playoffs Saturday night, it sounds like he will.

"I love the game, I'd love to come back," Thome told reporters. "I really would. Minnesota is a great place. So we'll see how the winter goes."

Thome, who turned 40 in August, said his first priority now that the season is finished is to spend some time with his family. He'll make a decision about whether to continue playing after he has some time at home.
