Rockies catcher Miguel Olivo sustained a mild concussion Friday night in St. Louis after being hit in the head on an Albert Pujols swing.Pujols' follow-through on a first-inning pop-up to shortstop Troy Tulowitzki caught Olivo on the back left side of the head. Home plate umpire Gary Cederstrom reached out to try and break Olivo's fall as he crumpled to the ground while Pujols ran down the line.
Olivo sat on the ground for several minutes as he was attended to by trainers, then was taken off the field on a cart. He was taken to a local hospital and underwent a CT scan and other tests that revealed no serious damage.
