John BuckThe Marlins officially announced the signing of catcher John Buck to a three-year contract a day after numerous reports indicated he had agreed to a deal with Florida.

The team did not disclose the value of the deal, but Buck is believed to be getting more than $15 million for the life of his contract.

The backstop, 30, hit .281 with 20 home runs and 66 RBI for the Blue Jays in 2010 -- all career highs -- but didn't show much plate discipline, walking just 16 times and posting a .314 on-base percentage.
