Forgive Mike Napoli if his spring training travel reservations are a bit of a mess at the moment. The catcher, dealt from the Angels to the Blue Jays last Friday (after rumors earlier in the day that he might be headed to the Rays), has now been traded to the Rangers.
Texas sent reliever Frank Francisco and cash (reportedly less than $1 million) to Toronto for Napoli, a power hitter who should also see time at first base and designated hitter.
Napoli, 29, is coming off three consecutive seasons with at least 20 home runs, and he might only get better playing in Arlington full-time. He has a .573 career slugging percentage at Rangers Ballpark.
