The Brewers continue to stock up for 2011, though their latest additions won't generate quite as much excitement as the Zack Greinke trade already has.Milwaukee on Wednesday announced the signing of reliever Sean Green and re-signing of utilityman Craig Counsell to one-year deals.
The Counsell move was no surprise and had been previously reported. The 40-year-old will once again serve as a jack of all infield trades off the bench for the Brewers just as he has since joining his hometown team in 2007. Counsell has been a National League stalwart since 1997, previously playing for the Rockies, Marlins, Dodgers and Diamondbacks.
Green, 31, spent most of 2010 on the Mets' disabled list with an intercostal muscle strain before returning for 11 appearances in September. He previously spent three seasons with the Mariners.
