Christina-Taylor Green, 9, the granddaughter of former major league pitcher and manager Dallas Green and the daughter of John Green, a scout in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, was one of the six people killed in the Tucson, Ariz., shooting Saturday. Fourteen others were wounded by a gunman at a Safeway supermarket, including U.S. Rep. Gabriel Giffords and federal judge John Roll. The primary suspect in the shooting, Jared Lee Loughner, 22, is now in police custody.
"We're all going to miss Christina. We were four people, and now we're three," her father John told CNN.
The Phillies, for whom Dallas Green both pitched and managed, have issued a statement in the wake of Christina's death.
